I can’t hardly stand getting sentimental up in this terrible, beautiful excuse for human socialization network but I would remiss to not mention the passing of two of my greatest teachers , David Bottoms and James Thomas Miller. Stellar poets and kind men ,patient enough to lead myself and many others to the well , and maybe give us a little shove. It was David who taught me that sentimentality in art should be earned and I think about that a lot. I’ll leave it to David to have the word on death for now but i will say it was an honor to get to play some music for him this week , alongside the great Dave Yoke. RIP gentlemen, it was a blessing to know you
